We are currently seeking a Senior Market Research Manager to join our Outreach and Conferences team to create and drive a programme implementation plan that will increase student participation in the Career Programme (CP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Your valuable market research in understanding why some schools outperform others in enrolment and assessment taking will help us replicate those success factors in other schools on an global scale and increase cohort sizes in both programmes. Develop a keen understanding of how the IB operates and understand the impact of good quality data on important decision making by schools and parents, thereby driving a steady increase in cohort sizes over an initial 2-5 year period
Based on the success of the implementation of the initial plan, create a sustainable and scalable plan to drive cohort sizes over a 5-10 year period in line with IB s growth strategy
Investigate, research, understand, analyze, and address the reasons/obstacles that hinder students from taking on more IB subjects in CP and DP
Develop measures to circumvent these barriers for students/schools by reviewing existing and collecting relevant data
Assess and evaluate successful schools, analyze their success factors, and develop case studies to be implemented in other schools
Lead market research studies focusing on the schools segments in every region Public, Private, National and International schools
Develop and implement a strategy for improving and increasing student participation in schools with DP and CP programmes, to complete more courses and complete the assessment requirements to graduate with an IB qualification
Work closely with Marketing and Communications to develop a marketing campaign coupled with the right tools and implement a strategic plan promoting the IB Assessment and increasing the cohorts of students taking the CP & DP
Work closely with the Head of Strategy Initiatives to understand and evaluate available data and develop a clear course of action
Coordinate with Learning and Teaching and Assessment Divisions and use the CP and DP value proposition to drive the growth of cohorts attempting the CP and DP
Engage with IB World Schools to understand the local/regional and segmental challenges and develop relevant tools to deal with the challenges
Coordinate with marketing and communications to develop the required messaging and communication tools to increase assessment market penetration at CP and DP levels
Work closely with the Heads of Development to implement the plans developed. Track cohort growth against set objectives/KPIs and report regularly on progress made and course correct wherever necessary
MBA with focus on Marketing and Market research and analysis or Master s in Data Analytics/Big data
Proven experience in leading market research studies with demonstrated past experiences in leading marketing campaigns and product launches
Prior experience in sales and marketing is a plus.
Experience with CRM system such as Salesforce
Some familiarity with international education and understanding of the IB programmes.
Demonstrated ability to effectively function within a global organization with global market potential
Excellent negotiation, market research, business analysis and reporting skills
Strong internal and external stakeholder management and ability to influence through actionable insights and organised reporting
Experience in strategy development and an ability to think beyond own area of responsibility to create new, long-term visions for the organization
Outstanding oral and written communication skills for working with international colleagues from all cultures and at all levels
Budget management experience
Extensive travel for the first year, then approximately 25% thereafter (conferences, visiting other global centres, etc)
