The Director of Business Development is responsible for initiating and implementing comprehensive internal and external business and marketing plans that would improve access to patient-facing services, introduce new service lines and increase CBHA s revenues and profits. Consulting and collaborating with the Executive Team, this position plans, develops, implements, and directs business enhancement projects and activities for the organization. Responsibilities Responsible for the planning, development, implementation and growth of new programs, contracted partnerships, services lines, and new clinical specialty programs. Supports the Executive team in the implementation of the strategic plan. Maintains and enhances collaborative relationships and partnerships with other business development professionals, associations, and communities. Furnishes marketing advice, counsel and general staff support to all departments within the organization. Performs all functions of personnel management of department employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring/firing of the employees within the department. Develops, compiles and reviews records to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of service. Develops methods to continually improve results. Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments. Actively seeks grant opportunities and conducts research, compiles data and assists in writing, reviewing and editing all grant proposals. Assists in or produces feasibility studies/business plans for new product development. Develops marketing campaigns for new products and services. This includes formulating a specific budget and expenditure plan for each. Oversees the development of all print and electronic corporate marketing materials. Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE standards of Behavior. Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA. Performs other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Professional and Technical Knowledge and Skills: A Master's degree in Business Administration, or a related field is required. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a business administration related position (preferably healthcare). At least five (5) years of progressively responsible project/program management experience. Significant experience in information technology strategic planning and substantive knowledge of the impact of technology on information management for administrative decision support, and electronic business processes. Experience with both shared and outsourced solutions, as well as information and communication systems in a multi-site client-server environment. Proven excellence in budget and resource management. Ability to link and apply complex technologies to business strategies. Ability to align strategic and operational needs with organizational development initiatives. Communication Skills: Proven effective communication skills among a diverse population. Ability to effectively communicate their opinions and extrapolations of information they collect and synthesize/analyze. Ability to negotiate resolutions to complex situations which may be inherently adversarial. Job duties require the effective communication of information in written (including electronic) correspondence. Job duties require the compilation and analysis of information prepared in effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles or other documentation. Employees must determine appropriate methods of communicating information through the use of tables, graphs, charts and other visual forms. Job duties require the effective communication of information during informal and formal verbal presentations.
